He also tried his hand at the US Amateur, shooting a 75-76 to miss qualifying at El Macero. Adam shot a season low 67 at Elkhorn as well as posting a 68-69 at Woodbridge Golf and Country Club.Summer 2007 ~ Adam prepared for his junior season with a T5 at the Sacramento County and playing in the United States Amateur Qualifier. He shot a 77-73 at Del Rio.2006-2007 ~ Beckman was inactive for a large part of the 2006-07 season due to an injury that forced him to miss the entire spring semester. He did however, play in three tournaments for the Tigers during the fall campaign. Adam shot a 236, good for 50th place at the 49er Classic in October and played in the last two tournaments of the year for the Tigers. He tied for 48th place at the Countrywide Home Loans, held at Wood Ranch Country Club. Beckman played his last tournament of the season at home, taking part in the Pacific Invitational at Brookside Country Club. At Pacific's host tournament Beckman shot a three round score of 75-77-75=227.2005-2006 ~ Adam fired a 229 to finish in 27th at the Big West Championship. Beckman shot a final round 73 at the Rice Intercollegiate, helping the Tigers to a fifth place showing and finishing 21st at the Anteater Invitational the following week. Adam was in the mix at the Oregon Duck Invitational, shooting an opening round one over par 73. Adam stepped up as a freshman during his first year at Pacific, accumulating the teams third best stroke average (76.1), playing in four tournaments. He fired a season-low 70 in his first round as a Tiger at the Lexus Golf Classic and ended his fall season with ten of 12 rounds in the 70s. Beckman's low finish came at the Bill Cullum Intercollegiate where his 230 placed him in 27th.Lodi High ~ Beckman lettered in golf all four years at Lodi High, leading the Flames in the San Joaquin Athletic Association. He shot a 67 at Elkhorn Country Club and finished second at the NorCals during his senior season. Adam was also a 2005 Conklin Award winner.Personal ~ Adam Matthew Beckman is the son of Ron and Kathy Beckman. He has one older sister, Amber, 24. Adam is currently majoring in business.
